LOVE...
Shola walked through the door at 6 p.m., exhausted from a long day at work.
"I just want to eat and sleep. I'm so tired," she mumbled as she dropped her bag.
By 8 p.m., she was curled up on her bed, scrolling through Instagram reels and TikTok videos, laughing, double-tapping, sharing.
Then came the soft, familiar voice.
"Have you fellowshipped with Me today?"
She paused.
"Holy Spirit, I’m really tired. You know I love You, but I came back late and I just want to sleep," she whispered, stifling a yawn.
She knew she hadn’t spent time in prayer, but she convinced herself it could wait.

Just as she was about to drift off, her phone rang.
It was Mike — her partner of one year.
Shola smiled, suddenly alert.
“Ohh, my love,” she said, picking up the call and sitting up straight.
Two hours passed. Laughter. Deep conversation. Sweet nothings.
As she dropped the phone and lay back down, that voice returned.
“I thought you were really tired and needed to sleep? Two hours for Michael; but none for Me?”
Shola froze.
“Do you know the difference?” He continued.
“It’s love.
You say you love Me — but tonight, your actions showed who you love more.
Yes, you were tired. But love made you sacrifice sleep to be with him.
Yet you couldn’t do the same for Me.”
Shola lowered her head, heart broken by the truth she couldn’t deny.
And then, softly:
“Beyond your service, I want your love.”
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Teach me how to love You, Jesus,” she whispered, weeping.
Dearly Beloved,
God impressed it upon my heart to speak to you about LOVE — not just any love, but your love for Him.
Yes, I know you’re serving.
Yes, I know you pray.
Yes, I know you study.
But….do you truly love God?
A person who truly loves God is completely sold out to Him.
When God says “Go,” they don’t hesitate. They move — no second-guessing.
A true lover of God is fully surrendered.
So let me ask you: whose will are you walking in — yours or His?
A person who truly loves God willingly sacrifices.
How many times have you told God:
“I’ll do it later.”
“I’ll pray when I wake up tomorrow.”
Yet when He calls, love answers immediately. Not when it’s convenient, not when emotions align, but right away.
Beyond your service, God wants your heart.
He wants your love.
You can spend hours praying at a program, but when it’s time for that secret place, you quickly check Instagram — and leave the One you claim to love, waiting.
So… is God your priority?
Today, He’s asking you to check your heart.
And remember: No one can truly love God without the help of His Spirit.
So ask the Holy Spirit:
“Help me love God — not just with my lips, but with my life.”
